China's deployment of electric vehicles leads the way in global electrification mileage

AlixPartners, an investment consulting company, released new statistical data on Wednesday under its official website's Automotive Electrification section and used a new measurement method called 'e-range' for data calculation. The new method uses the number of sold electric vehicles multiplied by the electric vehicle range to calculate the final result.

According to the 'Electric Mileage' survey, in the second quarter of this year, approximately 14 million miles (approximately 22.53 million kilometers) of electric vehicles were sold in the Greater China region. In contrast, Europe has only 7.83 million miles (approximately 12.6 million kilometers), North America has 6.15 million miles (approximately 9.897 million kilometers), and Japan and South Korea have 1.29 million kilometers (approximately 2.076 million kilometers). In the first quarter of 2013, China was very backward in terms of electric mileage measurement, with only 223700 kilometers (approximately 360000 kilometers). Nowadays, the adoption rate of electric vehicles in China is rapidly increasing, and the range has also significantly increased.

Mark Wakefield, an analyst at iResearch, said: 'China's start is not a little bit, but a big step. In addition, China is selling electric vehicles with high mileage, and has also sold a lot...'

The statistical data of iRuiBo used public data on car range, model sales, and market share to calculate the electric range. Among them, plug-in hybrid vehicles only measured the range of battery capacity, so the measurement data is more favorable for pure electric vehicles with high range, and this measurement does not include other hybrid models. Wakefield said: 'The experience of electric vehicles in the industry is almost the same as that of Internal combustion locomotive. The 300 mile range has basically met the needs of all people.'

In addition, in the enterprise ranking, five Chinese automobile manufacturers successfully ranked in the top 10 of the farthest electrified mileage ranking. They are BYD, BAIC, Geely, Ninghai Zhidou Electric Vehicle and JAC Motors Motor.

Tesla, on the other hand, ranks first with a total electrified mileage of 6.61 million miles (approximately 10.638 million kilometers); The remaining top four automakers are: second place, Renault Nissan Alliance, 3.72 million miles (approximately 5.987 million kilometers); Fifth place, General Motors, 1.64 million miles (approximately 2.639 million kilometers); The seventh place is BMW Group, 1.26 million miles (about 2.028 million kilometers), and the tenth place is Hyundai Motor Company, 1.14 million miles (about 1.835 million kilometers).
